0930:0940 Introductions for the day and administration Richard Hilling ARRC Chairman, Swindon Trauma Group and Shannen Downey, Swindon Marriott Hotel

0940:1000 Welcome to the conference and a brief of the day.  Sarah Jones Quality Director Swindon AWP and Steve Carr, whose brother was killed in the Akers Way disaster in 1991. 

1000:1100 “Treatment? What treatment?” Frank Parkinson BA DipTh Psychological Debriefer, university lecturer and trainer in trauma stress.  Was for eight years visiting fellow in Disaster Management at Cranfield University

1100:1130 Craniosacral Treatment approach to trauma.  Sheila Beer Physiotherapist-living locally who has specialized in Craniosacral and Trauma work for past twenty years

1130:1140 Break 1st music interlude where there will be a little music at each break and lunch and towards the evening

1140:1200 The Horse Course - When Talking isn’t Working - Kim Rayner - licensed Parelli Professional 2-star instructor.                                                             

1200:1230 Psychological Trauma: Treating the Mind and Body. Brigitte Bodill - Psychologist, CBT and EMDR Therapist. Past lead in Post Traumatic Stress Clinic, South Gloucester, now working privately in Swindon.

1230:1330 Chef’s choice of Sandwich Lunch (includes crisps, cakes and fresh fruit juices).  STG mini draw will take place during lunch.  First prize is Sunday Lunch for two (up to value of £50).  Other prizes include the moving book by Sian Williams, 'RISE - Surviving and Thriving after Trauma', and a box of chocs.

Evening Function

The evening function 1945 for 2000 hrs start will be in the hotel restaurant comprising a three course meal with tea, or coffee and mints to follow, cost £25 per person.  Dress - Lounge Suits.  Download the menu below.
