Addendum: Passing Thought and look for “The place, where lost things go”.
Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt)

A time for reflection - It is 28 December 1990 and a lot is happening.

What helps? “It is trumps again for the Walkman!” Following an Air Raid Warning in Manama Bahrain off with the respirator - on with the Walkmen and then listen to Isla’s Christmas songs on tape or songs from Abba, Judy Collins, Beach Boys or the hauntingly beautiful Song to the Moon by Dvorak.

A lot of the afternoon will reflect how music helps people to relax, certainly for me and I thank artists like Bet Midler for that.  Her rendition of 'From a Distance' inspired many an American or British combatant to face their fears during the 1st Gulf War
Dick Hilling
